Six Days of Creation Original Art

Acrylic & 24k gold leaf
“The Six Days of Creation” is a visual reflection of the world as it is described in Bereishis — unfolding day by day, stage by stage, as light is separated from darkness, heavens from earth, waters gathered, land revealed, and the sun, moon, stars, plants, animals, and all living creatures come into being. Each section of the painting hints to one of the sheshes yemei bereishis, distinct yet interconnected, echoing the order and harmony that the Torah describes.
The colors move from deep blues to warm golds, with layered textures that bring depth and movement to the scenes. These transitions are meant to evoke the majesty and wonder of creation as described in Bereishis — each day purposeful, each detail intentional, each element placed with wisdom. My goal was to convey the grandeur, the beauty, and the sense of awe that the pesukim inspire, and the feeling of standing before a world formed with Divine intention.
Touches of 24k gold leaf are woven throughout the painting, symbolizing the Divine light that rests within the physical world — a reminder that creation is not only magnificent, but filled with holiness. The painting is rich in color and emotion, blending realism with abstraction to capture both the structure and the mystery of creation.
This piece was created as a companion to “The Seventh Day — Shabbos Blessings.” While each painting stands on its own, together they form a complete story: six days of creation, and the seventh day that brings meaning, rest, and spiritual elevation. Side by side, they reflect the rhythm of Jewish life — the beauty of the world Hashem created, and the sanctity of Shabbos that completes it.
