“Kosel Flowers” is one of those paintings I created to feel like a world you can actually step into. At 48x60 inches, it’s intentionally large — almost like standing at a window with Jerusalem opening before you in layers of color, life, and holiness.

I began with the hydrangeas in the foreground, painting them vibrant and lush, as if they are right beside you — close enough to touch. From there, your eye moves gently into the cityscape: soft pinks, warm purples, and sunlit rooftops that carry the familiar rhythm of Jerusalem’s homes. I wanted this middle layer to feel alive, full of movement and texture, like the heartbeat of the city.

And then, beyond it all, the Kosel stands in glowing warmth. I used touches of 24k gold leaf and genuine diamonds to bring subtle light to the stones — small sparkles that echo the countless prayers carried there. Even with the vibrancy of the painting, I wanted the Kosel to feel grounded, timeless, and full of quiet strength.

If you look closely at the sky, you’ll see a faint, delicate outline of the Bais Hamikdash. I painted it softly, almost like a memory or a promise — something our hearts sense even when our eyes cannot fully see. It’s meant to feel like a whisper of hope hovering above the scene.

At its heart, this painting reflects what I believe about art: that beauty can be a pathway to something higher, and that the physical world carries hidden sparks of holiness waiting to be lifted. Jerusalem has always been the city where I feel that truth most deeply. With Kosel Flowers, I wanted to bring that sense of spiritual light into a viewer’s home — the feeling of standing before something ancient and eternal, yet vibrantly alive.

My hope is that this piece brings warmth, elevation, and a moment of connection every time you pause in front of it — a reminder that the sacred is often closer than we think, sometimes just beyond the flowers at our window.
