“Old City Flowers” is a painting I created to feel like an invitation — a doorway into Jerusalem herself. At 48x60 inches, it’s meant to surround you with that familiar, shimmering quiet of the Old City, where every stone holds memory and every shadow holds light.

I wanted this scene to feel as if you’re standing right there, at the entrance of a narrow Jerusalem alley, just a few steps away from sunlight. The cool blue tones give the stone walls a sense of calm and depth, while the bright flowers introduce warmth — a burst of life suspended above you like a canopy of color. I painted the petals scattered across the ground to draw you inward, guiding your steps deeper into the world of the painting.

The soft shimmer you’ll see throughout the piece comes from genuine diamonds placed with intention. They aren’t meant to overpower the scene, but to echo what I believe about the physical world — that even ordinary spaces carry sparks of holiness, waiting to be noticed and lifted. The diamonds catch the light the way Jerusalem does in real life: quietly, meaningfully, unexpectedly.

When I paint Jerusalem, I’m not only painting a place — I’m painting a feeling. A sense of belonging. A sense that the material and spiritual meet in every corner of those ancient streets.
